Growing up on the Tsuu Tina First Nation near Calgary, Alberta may seem a world away from Sesame Street, but for DerRic Starlight a Kermit the Frog doll from Santa changed everything. By the time he was a teenager, DerRic had mastered Jim Henson’s characters, a talent that would eventually find him recording voice-overs for The Muppet of Oz feature film. Now an accomplished puppeteer and comedian, DerRic performs across North America with his own cast of puppets such as Jingle Dress Dancer, Marty the lil Gangster Dude and Band Councilor Willy. With many television and radio performances under his belt, DerRic brings a positive message to his audience, not to mention a whole lot of laughter.
