Keynote Speaker Serge Bouchard

If anthropology is the science of telling stories, Serge Bouchard, Ph.D., is one of Canada’s premiere story-tellers, having spent his 30-year career studying the fascinating history and culture of Canada’s First Peoples. His research has covered a cultural mosaic ranging from Innu hunters and trappers of Labrador to long-distance truckers. As a researcher of Nordic studies and Aboriginal affairs, Serge has spoken with groups across North America, bringing to life the fascinating history of our First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who helped shape this country. Having appeared in television and radio documentaries, Serge currently hosts radio programs for Radio-Canada’s Première Chaîne, including Les Chemins de travers, L’été and De remarquables oubliés. He is the author of books such as L’Homme descend de l’ourse, Le moineaux domestique and Récits de Mathieu Mestokosho, chasseur innu.

Join Serge Bouchard for a passionate, inspirational session that will motivate you to discover the value and meaning of the important work you do to create career opportunities for Aboriginal people across Canada.
