The theme of Inclusion Works ’10 is “Voices of Change.”
Every aspect of the event will encourage interaction with and between delegates – this we are referring to as 360-degree learning.
You will leave Inclusion Works with many valuable takeaways – but more valuable by far, will be the discovery that inclusion is not just a compelling idea; it is a new threshold of experience.
Inclusion Works ’10 involves all delegates in a boundary-breaking dialogue in which every voice is spoken and every voice is heard. Among the ways we’ll do this include:
- Discover Your Tribe. Prior to the event you will receive information about your tribe. We will first connect you to your tribe members electronically and then it will be your job at the Casino Rama Networking Reception on Tuesday, April 27, to search out your tribe members and play a team poker hand against other tribes.
- Team Learning. You will learn from fellow delegates during interactive concurrent breakout workshops where each speaker or panel of speakers will facilitate conversation.
- High-Altitude Networking. The power of 360-degree learning is an exponential leap in networking reach that you’ll discover at Inclusion Works ’10.
- Story Sharing. Everyone has a story of inclusion trumping exclusion. We want to capture yours – out loud in a group setting or through one of our video kiosks.
- Instant Surveys. Using Data-on-the-Spot (DOTS), we will survey delegates on issues and questions that rise from the podium and the floor.
- The Universal Heartbeat. On Wednesday, April 28, our gala evening and silent charity art auction will celebrate international Indigenous inclusion with drums; including the drum will you will beat as an active participant.
- Inclusion Bistro. At this bustling breakfast and lunch café on Thursday, April 29, the patrons will do all the cooking and nothing will come out half baked. Here you will meet up again with your tribe members and enjoy active and stimulating conversation about advancing inclusion in your workplace and workplaces across Canada.
