Sylvie M.D. Guilbert is a member of the bar in both Ontario and British Columbia. She provides advice to employers across the country in all aspects of the employment relationship. Ms. Guilbert is well versed in human rights and equity issues and lectures regularly on diversity and respect in the workplace. In her previous role as a General Counsel with a federal Crown Corporation, she managed an employment equity portfolio, including preparing reports for Parliament pursuant to the Employment Equity Act.
Sylvie Guilbert is a member of the Ontario Bar Association (Labour & Employment, Privacy, Workers’ Compensation, Civil Litigation, Constitutional, Civil Liberties & Human Rights), the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Law Society of British Columbia. Sylvie holds a Masters of Law Degree from the University of Cambridge in United Kingdom, as well as a Bachelor of Laws Degree and Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree (Political Science and History) from the University of Ottawa.
