Emerging Models and Paradigms of Learning

Here you will learn:

Directly, from hands-on experience, new learning & networking technologies
Advanced interactive potentials that rouse new kinds of learning
Challenges and flashpoints in applying new technologies to Aboriginal learning

This unique hands-on workshop offers direct access to some of the tools that are transforming the learning process, from advanced online learning modules to uses of social networking for lifelong learning. These tools can address distinctive Aboriginal educational needs; indeed, this process is already well underway with such distance-ed programs as Sunchild, Credenda, Keewaytinook Internet High School, and Chief Dan George Aboriginal-E. Attendees of this workshop will receive an eye-opening introduction to post-electronic models of learning and will take away glimpses of the potential in addressing educational needs with these new models and tools.
