Graduates applying for to be chosen as a Inclusion Works ’10 recruitment fair participant will agree with the following Participation Guidelines in order to be considered a successful applicant for the April 27-29, 2010 event in Toronto.
The Aboriginal Human Resource Council has made a commitment to bring Aboriginal post-secondary graduates from across Canada to participate in Inclusion Works ’10 as a recruitment fair participant. To be considered eligible as a post-secondary graduate and recruitment fair participant you must agree to the following:
- First Nations, Métis and Inuit Applicants: Application to this recruitment fair is open to First Nation, Métis and Inuit people in Canada that have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution or are completing their final year of post-secondary study in 2010 (includes diploma, trades apprenticeship and degree programs).
- Criminal Record Check: Many employers, as part of their recruitment and hiring policies, conduct a criminal record check. As part of this online application form, participants are required to identify if they have a criminal record.
- Relocation: Many of the recruiting employers have offices across Canada. Participants willing to relocate for employment must indicate their willingness on the online application form. Be aware that relocation may mean out of a participant’s city, region or province. Many employers are only looking for employees that are serious about relocation, unless of course the applicant is located in the community where the job is available.
- Participation: Once selected, participation is required at all stages of Inclusion Works ’10, including, but not limited to, a graduate skill building session (April 26, 2010), recruitment fair interviews/networking reception (April 27, 2010), professional development workshops (April 27-28, 2010), event gala (April 28, 2010) and post-event follow-up measurement surveys.
- Photos: If selected, the participants will agree to allow the Aboriginal Human Resource Council to use the photos and video they capture of participants at this event in any print or online publications they create to advance the council’s mandate.
