About the Forums

Workforce Connex was a national forum series that linked regional partners and solutions that offered resolve to employment training, recruitment and retention issues.

This forum series helped develop new and successful business strategies that served the bottom line of organizations and helped Aboriginal people in Canada acquire the right skills and opportunities to enter new labour market sectors. The outcomes resulted in many connections to strategic sources and solutions with regard to Aboriginal markets, increased labour market contacts and training solutions. As well, participants learned about career profiles, labour demands, Aboriginal success stories and supply side challenges and strategies. The forums delivered a unique opportunity for the private sector, government employers, union representatives and educators to meet with Aboriginal employment centres from across Canada.
