Leadership Circle Coordinator

Janet McLeod grew up on the Six Nations Reserve and makes it a personal goal to improve the lives of Aboriginal Peoples in every way she can. Janet has worked with Six Nations Health Services in the Healthy Babies / Healthy Children program and on the Family Health team. This sense of community helps Janet see the big picture and inspires the work she does with the council to create opportunities for the Aboriginal workforce.

Over a professional career spanning more than 30 years, Janet’s keen eye for detail and her conscientious planning skills have been polished at Western University and McMaster University, holding such positions as secretary, program coordinator, administrative assistant and executive assistant.

Janet excels at organizing educational events/workshops/conferences from inception to completion – dealing with fellow team members and community stakeholders, liaising with executives and managing the budgets. Her experience with national and international event management brings great value to the council’s corporate affairs and development arm.
